Betty Jackson

On tuesday the 23rd of March i had an interview for an internship at Betty Jackson. Ed Lamba (PA to Betty) was my interviewer and was incredibly nice. The studio was small but sweet, almost like a green house. I was also informed that i would being working with Betty herself on a day-to-day basis :0!. Betty Jacksons designs are inspired by paintings and artists.

Ive always loved her collections, but i paticularly love this spring/summers collection, with fabric and prints being the main focus in beautiful colours and silhouettes.

Jelly Shoes & Vivienne Westwood for Melissa

The Jelly shoe!!! we all know we love em, and we ALL had a pair when we were bubas! loved the ideal that you could wear them in water! amazing!...anyway these beautiful shoes are being modeled by the beautiful Chelsea Levitt who takes Fashion Design at Leeds University. I adored them and matched her look that day so perfectly - sun shining, blonde curls, coral coloured frill top with skinny jeans, a little, slightly more modern cinderella in those beauties! I looked into the design and found an array of colours produced by Vivienne Westwood who designed for/collaborated with the eco, brazilian designer label Melissa. Melissa created the original jelly sandal in 1979. For this Spring/Summer 2010 range, they've transformed Westwood's famous high-heeled mary-jane into patented PVC aswell as transforming the high-heel into cute, quirky jelly joys!

"The most amazing thing about this partnership was to be able to create modern products, with very high quality, for affordable prices."
